Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the planned RCT had to be put on hold, thereby introducing delays to the project. We are currently exploring different options for performing the RCT on behalf of a remote setup.
The IARC 2020 Conference abstract submission entitled: VoiceAdapt: User-centered Design of a Multimodal Training App for People with Aphasia has been accepted.
VoiceAdapt will be presented at the JTC2017 Progress Dialogue Meeting on December 12. 2019. A Networking meeting will be held to to identify areas of cross-over between projects and to seek opportunities for collaboration on December 11. 2019.
The ethical review boards of University of Toronto and University of Alberta gave a positive vote. The proposed RCT can be conducted as planned.
The consortium meeting 2019 of the VoiceAdapt project was held in Toronto on May 23, 2019.
Four different use cases and perspectives on the VoiceAdapt platform are presented. Herein two patient’s, the therapist’s, and a relative’s perspective are discussed. The document serves as a concept to understand and empathize with the three user groups’ realties and needs.
